We have been visiting places of worship throughout the year since September, children have been able to learn about the faiths practised in the community where they live and ask any questions they have. We have visited churches, buddhist and hindu temples, and in July we went to visit the local mosque on Upton Lane in July.
The children were greeted and asked to take off their shoes and then shown the area where the taps were and it was explained to them that before praying Muslims have to wash.
The children were also able to see the large prayer room and were given the opportunity to explore the mosque and ask questions.
