We visited the Radha Krishna temple in Stratford in November and heard all about Diwali and in December we visited the Emmanuel Church in Forest gate. The vicar talked to us about the Church and celebrating Christmas.We walk with the children to the places of worship and this also gives the children an awareness of the community they live in.
The walk is a great opportunity for conversations about the places and things we pass.
We were also very lucky to have Naomi whose daughter is in the nursery come in to tell us how she celebrates Hanukkah. We learnt how to say Hanukkah properly and the story of the Menorah.
