We have been really excited to work in partnership with the Froebel trust to deliver a Saturday Forest school for children with special needs siblings and vulnerable children. We have been able to train a block of regular Saturday sessions for families led by Forest school leaders who were trained using the Froebel Grant and also to give out waterproofs to children so they can further explore the outdoors together with their families. The Froebel trust has made a short film about the project. Please click on the link to watch it.
Froebel describes how nothing is as important as the ‘conjoint study of nature’ – adults and children walking, observing and talking together about nature. This is the ethos of our Forest school and other outdoor learning at Kay Rowe.
